Zhanat Tusupbekov is appointed as the CEO of United Chemical Company LLP

Zhanat Rashidovich Tusupbekov was born on March 6, 1977 in Karaganda. In 1998, he graduated from the Karaganda State University named after E. A. Buketov with the degree in Law, in 2005 – the L. N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University with the degree in Economics, in 2012 he completed Master’s degree at the Kazakh University of Technology and Business.

Between 1997-2004, he worked in the civil service, where he held various positions in the Department of Internal Affairs of the Karaganda region, Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Agency for Combating Drug Trafficking, Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan. From 2004 to 2005 he worked as a judge of the regional court of the Akmola region.

Zhanat Tusupbekov started his career in the oil and gas industry in 2005 as an executive director of KazMunayGas Trading House JSC, and in 2009 he was appointed as the General Director of KazMunayGas Onimderi JSC, a retail company responsible for the sale of petroleum products in Kazakhstan. From February 2011 to February 2012, he held the position of the General Director and CEO of KazMunayGas – Processing and Marketing JSC. In February 2012, he was appointed as the Advisor to the CEO of JSC NC KazMunayGas. From May 2012 to November 2019, he served as the CEO of KMG International N. V.

Zhanat Rashidovich also has experience in sports management. In 2013, he was elected as the President of the Weightlifting Federation of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Since 2015, he has been the Chairman of the Marketing Commission of the International Weightlifting Federation and a member of the Executive Committee of the International Weightlifting Federation. Later, in 2017, he was elected as the Vice-President of the International Weightlifting Federation.

Since 2017, Zhanat Tusupbekov has been the Honorary Consul of Georgia to the Karaganda region.

In December 2019, he received the Honorary Doctorate degree from the Timisoara State University for his contribution to the development of KMG International, to the Romanian economy and to the strengthening of Romanian-Kazakh relations.
