In November 2022, Atyrau hosted the 10th conference “KAZNEFTEGAZSERVICE – 2022”, which annually gathers the largest operators demonstrating their work to increase the Kazakh content on large projects. It is distinctive that this year the issues of the development of chemical and gas projects, which were discussed actively among the participants, are becoming increasingly relevant.

“In our opinion, today, gas chemical projects in Atyrau region are a promising direction for business, that is why JSC NC QazaqGaz and Samruk-Kazyna Ondeu LLP were invited as speakers this year,” - Rashid Khasenovich Zhaksylykov, the Chairman of the Presidium, said in his welcoming speech.

Meyir Nurtaiuly Sheraly, the CEO of Samruk-Kazyna Ondeu LLP took part in a panel session, where he spoke about the Company’s Development Strategy for 2023-2032, new directions of development and priorities of the chemical industry of Kazakhstan.

According to the new Strategy approved in October this year, the priority areas of development are the implementation of projects for the production of products for the agro-industrial complex, petrochemical group products (basic organic chemistry), special chemistry products (basic inorganic chemistry) and implementation of projects in the field of “green chemistry”.

“To implement the above-mentioned directions, Samruk-Kazyna Ondeu has identified four main development focuses for itself: Partnership with investors - to attract expertise and technology, access to export markets and share some of the financial risks; Development of partnership with SMEs - to stimulate the development of further redistribution; Development of science and human capital and ESG transformation,” - Meyir Nurtaiuly said.
