Samruk-Kazyna volunteers provided 50 elderly people with food packages

The campaign was held on the International Day of Older Persons.

On October 01, 2020, Samruk-Kazyna volunteers provided 50 elderly people with food packages. The recipients included single pensioners, home front workers, disabled people and war veterans.

“Gifts and things are not so much important for grandmothers and grandfathers, but attention and care. Thanks to such campaigns, volunteers communicate with older people, adopting their experience. Such communication inspires both young and adults alike,” Azhar Abdiyeva, Project Manager of the Center for Social Interaction and Communications, said.

In May and July this year, within the framework of the Zhenis project, volunteers helped more than 600 WWII veterans and home front workers from 35 cities of Kazakhstan. In total, by the end of the year, it is planned to provide social and household assistance to more than 1 500 elderly people across the country.

The SK Volunteer League unites all concerned employees of the Samruk-Kazyna group of companies and citizens of the country. Any citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan can become a volunteer by applying on the website volunteer.sknews.kz
