The Year of Artificial Intelligence — and the Time to Speak About Those Who Implement It In 2026, declared the Year of Artificial Intelligence in Kazakhstan, JSC Samruk-Kazyna is launching a new feature series titled “JASAMPAZ” dedicated to the people driving digital transformation. These are not stories about abstract technologies, but about real individuals who are already transforming companies, industries, and approaches to work today. Our first featured expert is Evgeniy Petrovskiy, who has been working at SK Ondeu since 2010. Starting with IT systems support, Evgeniy now oversees digitalization projects, including the implementation of solutions powered by artificial intelligence. One of the key projects is the “Digital Twin” of the Stepnogorsk Sulfuric Acid Plant (SSAP). In addition, Evgeniy is responsible for information security matters. In the interview, he explains how technologies and AI are already contributing to industrial production and why digital transformation is not about the future — it is about real efficiency here and now.
