Today’s article is dedicated to the main activist of our Company – Makhabbat Iskakova, who skillfully manages to work well, participate in public events, sports, bake sweets and be a beautiful wife and mother. Makhabbat is a member of the staff of volunteers of Samruk-Kazyna  JSC, is a participant of the project “Zhenis”, “BIZBIRGEMIZ”.

“What is it for me to volunteer? It’s first of all free to help people to the best of their ability. In Kazakhstan, the year 2020 has been declared the Year of Volunteer, and we are glad that this direction is supported at the state level. I hope that with the end of the year, this movement will only develop and not be done for the tick and the reports,” – Makhabbat shared with us.

Over the past year, in order to develop this direction, Makhabbat took part in raids on the distribution of food baskets for socially vulnerable people, on the delivery of food for single pensioners under the BIZBIRGEMIZ project during the state of emergency, organized an action to collect things and toys for the needy.

Makhabbat started her career at United Chemical Company LLP more than 7 years ago, as an employee of the office in 2013, in 2014 she was transferred to the position of manager of the Department of Personnel Management, Administrative and Economic Activities. Work processes of Makhabbat consist in supervising administrative and economic activities, personnel records management, personnel development, adaptation of new employees and other HR issues.

Makhabbat also oversees the “Zhas-Orken” project. When asked about the purpose of this project, Makhabbat answers: “the project “Zhas-Orken” is a program of development of young specialists, which aims to attract and prepare the best and talented graduates for further employment in the companies of the Fund Samruk-Kazyna. But this is not an on-the-job training for a specific position in the company, but a tool for the formation and development of a new generation of managers with an active civic position and broad professional outlook”.

During the quarantine period, Makhabbat discovered distance learning at the Samruk Qyzmet online school of professional Recruiter, took a course of various webinars in the field of HR, and completed a 21-day course on oratory skills of the school “Soft Skills”.

“While studying oratory, I realized my strengths and what to work on. The format of online training was a discovery for me during quarantine, it’s convenient, modern, saves a lot of time and money”.

Makhabbat and his wife are raising two wonderful daughters. Her favorite hobby is the world of pastry art.

“I started baking all kinds of sweets when I was in high school, but seriously I did it during maternity leave. In a sense, this has become an outlet for me, in the process of cooking, decorating cakes, biscuits, I feel like I’m going in, I do not feel the time, fatigue, just the process and me.   I baked to order for a while, but there’s not enough time to do it because of going to work. I have a dream – to open a small café-confectionery, where anyone can come to have coffee or tea with fresh pastries in a warm and cozy atmosphere”.
