“In any situation in life always remain human” with such a life credo Rustam Esenbekov has been working for over eight years for the benefit of the development of the group of companies JSC Samruk-Kazyna.

He started as an auditor at Samruk-Energy JSC, and after that he was promoted to Chief Auditor of the Internal Audit Service. And from 2018 till present time he is the Chairman of the Audit Commission of United Chemical Company LLP, engaged in assessment of reliability and efficiency of internal control systems, risk management and corporate governance of the Company and its subsidiaries.

Rustam also carries out the organization and carrying out of thematic audits, is engaged in assessment of compliance of the Company and its subsidiaries with the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, assessment of adequacy of systems and procedures created and applied to ensure compliance with these requirements, assessment of rationality and efficiency of use of resources, applied methods / ways to ensure the safety of assets, manages and organizes the activities of the Revision Commission of the Company.

Combining his work activities, the audit assessed and analyzed significant business — processes (production, sales, purchases, etc.) in the Company group. Based on the results of these activities, Rustam issues recommendations aimed at improving risk management systems, internal controls and corporate governance, which are subsequently introduced into the business processes of the Company and its subsidiaries, resulting in increased efficiency of their operations.

Rustam is constantly evolving and is currently undergoing courses on Internal Audit (CIA).

Rustam loves nature and enjoys fishing in his spare time, especially the mountain peaks from which he enjoys downhill skiing.
