Workforce Development. LLP "Butadiene" introduces new educational training programs
In response to the growing demand for highly specialized professionals in the petrochemical sector of the Republic of Kazakhstan, LLP "Butadiene" is implementing a number of initiatives in collaboration with educational institutions to train a new generation of specialists. LLP "Butadiene" was established for the production of butadiene and its derivatives, with SK Ondeu as one of its participants.
With the support of local executive authorities (LEAs), the following joint initiatives have been launched:
• Together with S. Utebayev Atyrau University of Oil and Gas, a new bachelor's degree program has been developed and included in the register of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan:
• 6B07109 "Materials Science and New Materials Technology";
• The S. Mukashev Atyrau Polytechnic Higher College has introduced two specialized educational programs:
• 07220700 "Polymer Production Technology";
• 07110100 "Chemical Technology and Production".
These programs include courses on rubber materials and are tailored to meet modern industry challenges, focusing on technological innovations, environmental considerations, and sustainable development principles.
Additionally, in cooperation with APEC Petrotechnic Atyrau Higher College, two short-term vocational training programs have been developed for the roles of process operator and laboratory technician. These programs have been approved by the regional Industrial Council and are currently undergoing accreditation, with funding expected to be provided through targeted orders from LEAs.
An important component of the workforce development strategy will be internships at the operational facilities of PJSC "Tatneft". At present, faculty members from partner educational institutions are undergoing internships at LLC "Tolyattikauchuk" (a company within the Tatneft Group).
