Samruk-Kazyna Ondeu has awarded winners of the competition for the maintenance of eco-culture among the employees of the Fund group of companies.

Over 12 000 plastic bottles and 2 500 aluminum cans were collected by employees of the Fund and Samruk-Kazyna portfolio companies. For a month, they disposed of plastic bottles and aluminum containers in a fandom installed by Samruk-Kazyna Ondeu.

As a result of the competition, 10 winners from various portfolio companies of the Fund were determined. They were awarded with appreciation letters and valuable prizes.

Daniyar Mauletov, the Chairman of the Management Board of Samruk-Kazyna Ondeu LLP, thanked his colleagues for their active participation in the competition, shared plans for scaling this project and personally presented awards to winners.

- The large-scale environmental campaign “Taza Kazakhstan” was launched in the country in April this year at the initiative of the Head of State. It is gratifying that employees of the Fund group of companies actively supported this initiative and implement the principles of respect for nature on a daily basis. Thank you for your significant contribution to the formation and development of eco-culture as part of the Samruk-Kazyna Ondeu competition. We hope that our joint experience will become an incentive for further initiatives and maintaining high standards of sustainable development and the environmental movement “Taza Kazakhstan”, - Daniyar Mauletov said.

Recall that recently, Samruk Kazyna Ondeu, with the support of the Fund, installed a device for receiving plastic bottles and aluminum cans on the 1st floor of the Samruk-Kazyna business center in Astana for all employees of the Fund group of companies. Recycling of all containers disposed of within the framework of the competition allowed to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 2.5 tons. The company plans to implement further projects under the environmental movement “Taza Kazakhstan”.

It should be noted that the republican campaign “Taza Kazakhstan” has become an important step in the fight for the purity of the environment and the maintenance of the country’s ecology. The initiative of the President, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, is aimed at eco-patriotism, active involvement of citizens, public and private organizations in cleaning territories, cleaning reservoirs, eliminating landfills and raising environmental awareness.

From the first days of the campaign, it caused a wide public response. In 2024, several million tons of waste were collected and disposed of within the framework of Taza Kazakhstan, thousands of hectares of land and dozens of rivers were cleaned.
