“We are actively working now on building trustful and honest relationships with associations, businesses and other partners. We are striving for one goal together –development of the chemical industry, so we must choose the path of further development together”, - Meyir Nurtayuly Sheraly, the CEO of Samruk-Kazyna Ondeu LLP, said at the meeting with Assylbek Mukhitovich Dzhakiyev, the CEO of the Council for the Development of Strategic Partnerships in the Oil and Gas Industry PetroCouncil.

The parties discussed bilateral cooperation in the development of chemical projects with involvement of foreign and domestic investors. Another priority for the parties is development of R&D projects, since according to the Code on Subsoil and Subsoil Use, subsoil users in Kazakhstan are required to allocate 1% of their own production costs for R&D. The Center for Scientific and Technological Initiatives was established on the basis of Samruk-Kazyna JSC which is a single window for business interaction with the scientific community on coordination of such projects within portfolio companies.

The parties expressed hope that the signed memorandum will contribute to the expansion of the exchange of information, experience and expertise, and will also lead to intensification of the dialogue between the quasi-public sector and SMEs.
