Kazakh communists gave computers to children from deprived families

The Communist People’s Party of Kazakhstan and its people’s project “Shapagat” annually hold the “Biz mektepke baramyz” campaign in order to help families in need on the eve of the school year to get their children to school, Kazinform reports.

Almost a hundred of the capital’s schoolchildren from socially vulnerable families will be presented with computers necessary for distance learning. The “Ybyrai” League of Young Programmers PF, United Chemical Company LLP, NIT JSC and other sponsors took an active part in the action, whose efforts were united under the auspices of the people’s project “Shapagat.

  • Everyone can take part in the marathon of kindness and give children the opportunity to study without problems, – the Project Manager, Nazgul Makzhan, said.

Provision of certain categories of children with computer equipment for distance education is also carried out by the state within the framework of the program “Universal Education” of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan. But there the equipment is allocated only for the period of the academic year.

  • According to the terms of our campaign, computers are not rented, but given to families, – Nazgul Makzhan emphasized. – I must say that many of our persons in ward did not expect this. They thought that the equipment was provided for temporary use, and then it would be taken away. However, when we said that it was a gift and there was no need to return it, there was no limit to the joy of children and parents. And this is worth its weight in gold!

Volunteers – IT specialists of NIT JSC and Naimi.kz company rendered invaluable assistance in the technical support of the campaign.

  • We want children to be able to fully study, – Aziza Shuzheyeva, Head of the Ybyrai League of Young Programmers, commented on the participation in the campaign. – For many, education, especially in the field of IT, is a social elevator that helps them to escape from poverty.

“Biz mektepke baramyz” is just one of many projects of the Communist People’s Party of Kazakhstan to support large and low-income families, veterans, pensioners in need, disabled persons and other citizens from socially vulnerable categories.
