Samruk-Kazyna Ondeu Strengthens International Cooperation in Kazakhstan’s Chemical Industry
Atyrau hosted a visit by representatives of diplomatic missions, business circles, and the scientific community to the country’s leading chemical enterprises — Karabatan Utility Solutions LLP (KUS) and Kazakhstan Petrochemical Industries Inc. LLP (KPI), both located within the National Industrial Petrochemical Technopark (NIPT) Special Economic Zone.
The event aimed to enhance international partnerships and attract direct foreign investment into Kazakhstan’s priority chemical projects, thereby contributing to sustainable economic growth and technological development.
The delegation included José Ataíde Amaral, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Portugal to the Republic of Kazakhstan; Luis Francisco Martinez Montes, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Spain; Ulrich Kinne, Deputy Head of Mission and Economic Affairs Adviser of the Federal Republic of Germany; as well as representatives of the German Economic Delegation for Central Asia, the A.B. Bekturov Institute of Chemical Sciences, and other international and Kazakhstani partners.
During the visit, participants were presented with the key strategic development areas of the NIPT SEZ, current production achievements, modernization plans for KUS and KPI, and the project for the construction of a butadiene production complex.
Such meetings are an important step toward expanding international dialogue, strengthening investor confidence, and fostering the development of high-tech manufacturing in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
