11th of September 2019, maternal company of United Chemical Company LLP and MC SEZ Chemical Park Taraz JSC took part in second session of Kazakh-Chinese Business Council (hereinafter – KCBS). Event was organized by Samruk-Kazyna JSC and Committee for promotion of China’s International Trade.

The President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev, heads of the largest companies in Kazakhstan and the PRC, took part in the work of KCBS and a package of agreements was signed between the two countries.

Big challenges were faced KCBS. Over the lifetime of the Business Council has proved its efficiency and place both interactive and business platform. There are currently a number of projects in the Kazakh-Chinese investment portfolio, including those of “United Chemical Company LLP (hereinafter – UCC) and North Huajin Chemical Industry Group Corporation for the production of urea (hereinafter – the Project) in the territory of SEZ Chemical Park Taraz.

Considering the importance of urea production project, a triangular agreement was signed between UCC, KazTransGas JSC and North Huajin Chemical Industry Group Corporation to guarantee uninterrupted supply of natural gas for the project in territory of the SEZ Chemical Park Taraz.

Also within KCBS Memorandum was signed between the UCC and the Ronghui Group Chinese company on the project “Caustic soda” on the territory of SEZ Chemical Park Taraz. Under this Agreement, it is planned to jointly develop a business plan for the Project, a share in UCC and Ronghui Group in the Project, etc.
